OpenTo Brand
About the project
I aimed to create something familiar, so I chose e-commerce with a print-on-demand service, Printful. I wanted to see if Floot could realize my vision: allowing real-time text customization on products, resulting in a printed item within a few weeks. I had the concept for OpenTo Brand for quite some time, and Floot finally enabled me to develop it cost-effectively. OpenTo Brand centers on humor; people deserve more—an outlet to proudly express their openness, not shame. Our company is built around this core idea. OpenTo Brand combines humor and satire while celebrating openness to everything: work, positivity, love, family, new ideas, and all the emotions that accompany life's journey. Each customer personalizes each piece. A competent e-commerce solution. Sync products from Printful and stage them into production by creating galleries, custom text, caching, and rendering new custom images for the user to see in real time. The store also includes an email capability for updating customers on their purchases and future marketing. Floot has made it possible for me not to need Shopify, Mailchimp, or a third party to render custom text. Current API integrations: Posthog, RenderForm, Printful, Stripe, and Floot has handled SEO, Debugging, CSAP (fun frontend - click on the floating icons on the homepage), and a complex staging system to manage products from Printful. I'm currently in production testing this week and have over 50+ signups interested when my store goes live. I built a custom core eCom app in about a month. Now that I have a core application, I can add new features like generative AI art printing, custom eCom experiences that promote the brand, and a new way to leave reviews about products—I can incorporate AI analysis when/wherever I want to. I've never had this kind of development control before. b/c of this I'm planning to build a cohort education platform for myself to teach others about vibe coding using Floot. AND maybe someday I'll build a Floot Marketplace.
