Ejiogbe Voices Ancestral Intelligence Platform

Driven by my technical background in CRM and ERP systems, as well as my experiences as an author, artist, and coach, I wanted to create a project that reflected my multiethnic and multilingual upbringing. Having lived on three continents, I often struggled with cultural understanding and language barriers. I envisioned a unique tech project six months ago, but my initial attempts at coding fell short of bringing my vision to life. Determined, I began by developing smaller applications, including browser extensions and micro-apps, which helped me quickly learn and build my confidence. Though my journey included many frustrations and moments where I almost gave up, I was fortunate to discover Floot. My initial goal was to establish a digital repository for cultural knowledge independent of nonprofits or government agencies, particularly in light of funding issues affecting existing projects. While there are many digital archives managed by universities and communities, a persistent challenge was language accessibility. With a background in multilingual app development, I aimed to integrate features such as translation, transcription, synthetic dubbing, and voice cloning. As my project evolved, it transformed into a comprehensive platform where users can not only access cultural content but also learn languages. Users can listen to cultural knowledge, read and translate materials, flag content they find unclear, and dive deeper into cultural contexts through community pages. They can also explore language through dictionary resources and proverbs, or engage in the AI Learning Lab—which features an AI tutor, pronunciation correction, flashcards, quizzes, and a note-taking system. What began as a simple repository has now become a robust global platform that offers insight into multiple cultures. I affectionately liken it to a combination of Spotify, Smithsonian, and Duolingo, encapsulating listening experiences, cultural depth, and language learning in one comprehensive system. So far, I have received significant positive feedback, with a large audience on Instagram (8K followers) and TikTok (65K). Many are eagerly awaiting the official launch, especially as I expand the dataset. I have also been honored to join various startup programs focused on transcription and translation, including Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Cartesia, Murf AI, and the NVIDIA Inception Program earlier this year. Building with Floot has been a revelation. While learning to navigate vibe coding platforms can be challenging, Floot facilitated the organization of vendor APIs. I was pleasantly surprised by how manageable internationalization and localization became once I established a consistent workflow. With added functionalities that once seemed out of reach, I barely recognize the app now compared to two months ago. This transformation would not have been possible with any other platform.
