While travelling between Hong Kong and Singapore, I realised how difficult it was to find truly great specialty coffee. Maps mostly showed generic chains, and cafe reviews lacked the detail I needed. I built The Coffee Grid to solve my own problem—and hopefully yours too. The Coffee Grid helps coffee lovers in Singapore discover specialty cafes, roasters, academies, and equipment shops. Users can take a taste quiz, explore an interactive map, and find beans, machines, or brewing spots based on their preferences. So far, I’ve had 20 satisfied users. The biggest wow moment was realising how quickly I could turn an idea into a live, functional product. I’m a 17-year-old founder with no coding experience, and Floot let me vibe-code a map, a quiz, and a blog. That was a game-changer.
