Daily Intentions
About the project
The inspiration behind Daily Intentions arose from a common frustration: while most productivity tools focus on tracking what you did, few help you plan what truly matters each day. I envisioned a solution that bridges the gap between strategic goals and daily execution, allowing users to set clear intentions every morning and reflect honestly each evening. Managers benefit from real visibility into team progress without falling into micromanagement. Shaped by frameworks like EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and the complexities of managing remote and hybrid teams, I aimed to create a system that emphasizes clarity in planning and honesty in reporting, rather than simply tallying hours worked. Daily Intentions is a team productivity platform designed to transform vague to-do lists into a disciplined daily practice. Each morning, team members identify their top three priorities and establish an outcome goal. Throughout the day, they track their time against these priorities and log any blockers in real time. Each evening, they engage in honest reflection on their achievements. For managers, a live Team Pulse dashboard provides insights into who has planned their day, who is facing obstacles, and who needs support, all without requiring status meetings. Additionally, the platform features an AI-powered accountability scoring system, weekly timesheets with approval workflows, a comprehensive knowledge base, standard operating procedures, strategic planning tools, CRM integration, and even ADHD-friendly accessibility features such as focus mode and a Pomodoro timer. Daily Intentions is built for organizations seeking intentional work rather than mere busyness, ensuring team alignment at all times. Currently, we are in the pre-launch phase, finalizing the product with the help of three partner organizations that are providing valuable feedback and testing. While we have not yet monetized the platform, the development process has revealed incredible possibilities. The most significant 'wow' moment for me was realizing the complexity and scale of what we were able to build in such a short timeframe. This is no simple CRUD app; it’s a multi-tenant enterprise SaaS with robust features including JWT authentication, 50+ database tables, Stripe billing, Google and Outlook calendar synchronization, GoHighLevel CRM integration, AI coaching, real-time team chat, push notifications, cron-driven email digests, PDF exports, and a platform admin panel. The support team has also been phenomenal, making the development process smoother than I could have imagined.
