**Inspiration Behind the GEO Visibility Tool** I was propelled to create the GEO Visibility Tool (GVT) due to the noticeable lack of resources for measuring semantic HTML and JavaScript independence—two obstacles to GEO visibility. With my extensive background in SEO and systems development, building this tool felt like a natural progression. **What GVT Offers** The GEO Visibility Tool is a unique measurement resource addressing a challenge that many developers don’t even realize they face. When AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews evaluate whether to cite a page, they don’t navigate the web as humans do; instead, they depend on their crawlers' ability to parse information. Most crawlers are unable to execute JavaScript, which means they require clean HTML, structured data, semantic markup, and logical heading hierarchies to interpret a webpage accurately. Without these essential signals, even the best-designed, high-traffic websites can become virtually invisible to AI-generated responses. GVT bridges this gap by auditing any URL across six critical signal categories: JavaScript Independence, Schema, Semantic HTML, Headings, Social Tags, and Accessibility. The tool provides scores for each category, an overall GEO readiness score, and tracks individual check results over time—not to dictate what you should think about your site, but to illustrate what an LLM crawler actually perceives during its visit. Developed by iGods, a bootstrapped Canadian company, GVT is the culmination of three decades spent observing the evolution of search paradigms and crafting tools to measure the new rules of the game. **Current Status** We soft-launched the tool in late April 2026 and are eager to see how the market responds. **Remarkable Moments** One of our biggest surprises while developing on Floot was discovering how comprehensive our app development turned out to be. While we initially didn’t expect to create a fully enterprise-grade product, we were thrilled to see it evolve into a privacy-compliant, secure, scalable tool with a robust deployment pipeline.
