We observed that many small to mid-sized teams in Japan were struggling to find the right task management tool. Existing enterprise solutions were overly complex, while simpler tools often lacked essential features like proper organizational hierarchy and member permissions. This realization inspired us to create The Next Tasks. The Next Tasks aims to bridge this gap by providing a clean structure that organizes work into Organizations, Projects, and Tasks, complemented by invite-based access control. Our interactive Gantt chart allows for intuitive scheduling, making it easier for teams to plan ahead. Additionally, we prioritized bilingual support from day one, ensuring accessibility for both Japanese and English speakers. Our platform helps growing teams manage their work efficiently with features like admin/member roles, Slack integration for real-time notifications, and tools for checklists, comments, categories, and comprehensive change history. Starting with a free solo plan, The Next Tasks is designed to scale with your team, catering to needs from startup to enterprise level. Currently, we are in the pre-launch phase, and through pilot tests with nearby teams, we've received positive feedback, especially regarding the organizational hierarchy management and the Gantt chart functionality. As we prepare for our official launch, we continue to gather valuable insights to enhance our platform even further. Building on Floot has been a remarkable experience, with processes that typically take months—such as authentication, payments, and database design—coming together in a remarkably swift manner. Witnessing the transformation from idea to a functioning product was a true highlight of this journey.
