Glimmerbud
Acerca del proyecto
Over the last few years, "Growing & Glowing" has become a personal motto as I've worked on my own mental health, personal growth, and understanding my neurodivergent brain. As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, I've spent my career helping people identify barriers, build strategies, and work toward meaningful goals, and I wanted to combine that with what I'd learned personally to create something gentler than a traditional productivity app, something that celebrates showing up even when showing up looks small. That idea grew into Glimmerbud, a neurodivergent-friendly productivity and self-management app that turns everyday progress into a growing virtual garden. Users choose tiny wins and routines, earn seeds for showing up, grow monthly bouquets, collect plants and whimsical garden friends, and use built-in tools for focus, body doubling, and brain breaks, with no punishing streaks and no guilt for missing a day. Glimmerbud has just entered private beta, and I built glimmerbud.com with Floot to give it a public home and a waitlist while I use real tester feedback to shape what comes next. The best part has been watching an idea that existed mostly in my head become a real, working product, complete with user accounts, personalized gardens, rewards, interactive tools, beta controls, and a custom domain, all without being a traditional developer. Being able to say "What if it did this?" and then actually build, test, tweak, and deploy it has been pretty wild.
