Slope Buddy

As a passionate snowboarder, I've often found myself heading to the slopes alone since most of my friends don't ride. I was always eager to meet fellow snowboarders or skiers to share the experience with, but organizing trips often became chaotic. Important details were lost in tangled WhatsApp chats, plans frequently changed, and everyone was often in the dark about the latest updates. This inspired me to create SlopeBuddy—a solution tailored to simplify trip planning for winter sports enthusiasts. SlopeBuddy is a platform that allows skiers and snowboarders to organize trips efficiently, manage crucial details like meeting points and attendance, and connect with other riders in a structured, stress-free environment. Currently, SlopeBuddy is still in the development stage. Although I've yet to onboard users, my focus has been on establishing a solid foundation for the platform. Now that we're at a pivotal point, I plan to engage a small group of early testers to validate its functionality in real-world scenarios. One of my biggest ‘wow’ moments throughout this journey was experiencing the rapid transition from a mere idea to a fully functional, production-ready app. Utilizing Floot allowed me to create complex features like authentication, events, chat, and admin tools all in one environment, keeping me focused on addressing the core problems instead of getting bogged down by infrastructure challenges.
