About the project

I'm a home baker and small-batch vendor who got sick of guessing if I was actually making a profit. I built MakerMargin because I needed a way to track ingredient costs, supply usage, and batch ROI that didn't involve spreadsheets or frustration. None of the existing tools were built for cottage-style makers—they were either overkill or made for ecommerce shops. So I created what I wish existed. MakerMargin helps bakers, crafters, and vendor-based makers track exactly what their handmade products cost them—down to the ingredient, supply, or batch. It's a simple, mobile-first tool for calculating margins, pricing products with confidence, and finally answering the question: 'Am I actually making money on this?' We're still in beta, and there's been great interest from the maker and farmers market communities—plenty of early access requests, DMs, and positive feedback around the idea. I've got the 'omg I need this!' comments—now I'm building out smoother onboarding and use cases to match. The select and draw feature in Floot was a game-changer. Being able to pinpoint exactly where something wasn't working and show it visually saved hours of back-and-forth. It helped me communicate fixes without the communication troubles. That tool alone probably cut my development timeline in half.
