Managing your subscription

How to upgrade, downgrade, switch between monthly and yearly billing, cancel and undo a cancellation, and where your card, invoices and tax details are.

Everything about your plan is done on Plan & usage on floot.com: changing plan, switching between monthly and yearly billing, cancelling, and managing your card and invoices. Your AI assistant cannot change what you pay, so these are steps you take yourself.

Where everything is

Open Plan & usage from the dashboard sidebar. The Current plan tab has a card for each plan. The card for your own plan shows when it renews and, at the bottom, Manage payment and Cancel (on some cards the link reads Cancel subscription).

Changing plan sends you to a Stripe page to confirm, and nothing changes until you confirm there. If Plan & usage still shows your old plan right after you come back, give it a few seconds and reload.

Upgrade

Click the upgrade button on the card of the plan you want and confirm. The upgrade takes effect immediately, and you pay the full difference between the two plans' prices for the current billing period, whatever day of the period it is. Nothing in your projects changes: published apps, databases, files and domains stay as they are.

Downgrade from Power to Pro

Click Switch to Pro on the Pro card and confirm. You keep Power until the end of the billing period you have paid for, and the change takes effect then. Until that date, a bar at the top of Plan & usage shows when it happens, with Undo downgrade if you change your mind. If there is no bar, the change did not go through: try again.

Switch between monthly and yearly billing

Yearly billing costs ten times the monthly price: $250 a year for Pro and $1,000 a year for Power. On Pro or Power, click Switch to yearly billing on your plan's card and confirm on the Stripe page, which shows what you pay. Your credits and your hosting allowance still arrive every month.

To go back, click Switch to monthly billing on the same card. It takes effect at the end of the billing year you have paid for, and until then the bar at the top of the page offers Undo billing change. If you are not subscribed yet, choose Monthly or Yearly with the toggle above the plan cards before you subscribe.

Cancel

  1. 1

    Open the cancel dialog

On Plan & usage, click Cancel at the bottom of your plan's card, next to Manage payment.

  2. 2

    Go through the dialog

It lists what you will lose and asks why you are leaving. Nothing is cancelled until you finish the last step.

  3. 3

Check the bar at the top of the page

It shows the date the subscription ends. You keep the plan and everything in it until then: the end of the period you have paid for, which on a yearly plan is the end of the billing year.

Changed your mind? Click Undo cancellation in that bar. It works until the end date.

If a payment has already failed

When a renewal payment has failed and the plan is past due, cancelling ends the plan at once and stops further attempts to charge the card, instead of waiting for the end of the period.

What ends with the plan, and what stays

When a paid plan ends, the account moves to Free. Your projects, their data and your published apps stay. This is what changes:

What happens when the plan ends
Build actionsDrop to the free limit of 100 a day.
Monthly AI creditsStop arriving. Unused monthly credits and rollover credits can no longer be used.
Credits you boughtAI credits and hosting credit you bought stay usable until their own expiry dates.
Hosting allowanceEnds. Published apps stay up while your hosting credit lasts; when it runs out they are taken offline with no grace period — see Hosting.
Custom domainsRemoved 3 days after the plan ends. Floot emails you first, and the app stays live on its *.floot.app address.
Floot badgeReturns to your published apps within about a day.
Scheduled jobs and timersStop running in your published apps.
ProjectsFree allows 5. You keep any extra ones, but cannot create more until you are back under the limit.
Paid-only featuresGet Code, adding collaborators, duplicating or sending a project, and connecting Google Play need a paid plan — see the plan table.

If you subscribe again

Subscribing again does not put everything back by itself. Add each custom domain again. To hide the Floot badge again, switch Display Floot logo off on the Publish screen and publish. If an app was taken offline for hosting in the meantime, publish it again first — see Hosting.

Older credit-ladder plans

If you are on one of the older plans that buy credits rather than build actions, you move to Pro or Power on the switch page. It shows the exact numbers for your account before you confirm.

It is one-way
Older plans are closed once you leave, so you cannot switch back.
What you pay
If the new plan costs the same as your current one, nothing today. If it costs more, you pay the difference today. If it costs less, your billing changes at your next renewal. The new build-action limits apply immediately in all three cases.
Your credits
When the new plan costs the same or more, the unused credits from your current month carry over as a one-time bonus, valid for 60 days. When it costs less, you keep your current credits until renewal, and whatever is unused then rolls over for one month. Credits you bought keep their own expiry dates.
Everything else
Your hosting balance, auto-reload, published apps, domains and data are untouched.

Older plans cannot be billed yearly. Switch to Pro or Power first.

Card, invoices and tax details

Manage payment on your plan's card opens the Stripe billing portal, where you update the card on file and find your invoices and receipts. Top-ups of AI credits and hosting credit get an invoice there too.

Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies. If you are buying as a business, enter your tax ID on the Stripe checkout page. The name and billing address you enter there are saved with your account for later invoices.

When a payment fails

The plan becomes past due; it is not cancelled straight away. Fix or replace the card under Manage payment (shown as Manage payment methods while the plan is past due) on Plan & usage. The same card also offers Cancel subscription if you would rather end the plan. While the plan stays unpaid:

  • After 2 days, the Floot badge returns to your published apps and scheduled jobs stop.
  • After 3 days, custom domains are removed.
  • For the first two weeks you still get the usual grace window if your hosting balance runs out. After that there is none — see Hosting.
