Your account
Changing your email, two-factor authentication, paying on the right account, signing out other devices, disconnecting an assistant, and deleting your account.
Account settings live on the account page on floot.com.
How do I change my email address?
Under Profile, click Change next to your email and enter the new address. Floot sends a confirmation link there, valid for 60 minutes; until you confirm it, you keep signing in with the old address. Open the link in a browser where you are signed in to this Floot account — otherwise it asks you to sign in first.
After the change you sign in with the new email. Google, GitHub, or Microsoft sign-in linked to the old address stops working; signing in with the provider account that matches the new address links it again.
Accounts are never merged. If the new address already has a Floot account with nothing on it, confirming the change closes that empty account, and the confirmation page says so first. If that account has anything on it — projects, a plan, domains — the page lists what has to be cleared before the change can go through.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication?
Under Security, click Set up next to Two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app — Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, and the like — or type in the key shown under it, then enter the 6-digit code the app gives you. Floot then shows 10 recovery codes, once: copy or download them and keep them somewhere safe.
From then on, every sign-in — email link, Google, GitHub, or Microsoft, including signing in from a preview link — also asks for the current code from your app. A recovery code works instead, once each. Enter the code within 10 minutes; after too many wrong codes the sign-in is cancelled and you start again.
- Turning it on does not sign out devices that are already signed in, or disconnect AI assistants you connected before. To make them go through the new check, use Sign out others and choose Also disconnect … agents.
- Turning it off, or generating new recovery codes, needs a code from your app or a recovery code, so someone with only your browser cannot do either. Floot emails you whenever either happens, and when it is turned on.
- Lost your device and your recovery codes? Write to support@floot.com from the email on your account. Support will need more than an email from your address to confirm it is you — a mailbox is exactly what two-factor authentication guards against.
I upgraded, but my AI assistant still says I am on Free
Your assistant is connected to one Floot account, and its limits follow that account — not whichever account your browser happens to be signed in to. This usually comes from having two Google accounts, using two browsers, or a sign-in that created a second Floot account.
- Before you pay: use the upgrade link in your assistant's limit message. It shows which account your assistant is connected to, and offers Switch account if your browser is signed in to a different one.
- Already paid on the other account? Contact support with both email addresses. If the paid account is the one you want to keep using, you can also disconnect Floot in your assistant and connect it again while signed in to floot.com as the paid account; projects stay with the account that created them.
How do I sign out other devices or disconnect an AI assistant?
Under Sessions, Sign out others signs out every other browser, and Also disconnect … agents cuts off connected AI assistants and API keys at the same time — choose it if you think someone else has access. Under Connected agents, Disconnect removes one assistant's access on every device; you can connect it again later.
How do I delete my account?
Under Delete account. First cancel your subscription on Plan & usage and unpublish your published apps — the dialog lists anything left to do. Deleting signs you out everywhere, permanently deletes your projects and their databases, stops connected agents and API keys, and the email address cannot be used to sign up again.
